Can I Visit The Dentist Safely During COVID-19? Yes! Here’s How!

While vaccines are now available throughout much of the country, COVID-19 coronavirus is still a major concern for many dental patients. You may be wondering if it’s safe to see the dentist in Orange County during the COVID-19 pandemic. And if you come to Monarch Dental Arts, the answer is “yes!”

Dr. Anna Paholiouk and our dental team are taking every possible precaution to keep you and your family safe as you get the dental care you need in Orange County. Read on, and see how we’ve updated our office to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Patient Check-Ins At Our Office

First, we’ll be requiring patients to answer some brief questions about their past travel habits, COVID-19 exposure, and whether or not they’ve experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 in the past few weeks. This helps protect you and our staff members.

We also ask that you wear a face mask or covering during your entire visit at Monarch Dental Arts. You can remove your face mask or covering when you’re in the dentist’s chair, but please wear it whenever you’re in a common area.

Social Distancing At Monarch Dental Arts

We have reconfigured our waiting area to make sure we keep at least 6 feet of distance between each patient at our office, and have removed hard-to-clean items like magazines and pamphlets from common areas for enhanced safety.

We have also made some changes to patient scheduling in an attempt to reduce the number of people at Monarch Dental Arts at any given time, as this also reduces the risk of infection and enhances patient safety.

Enhanced PPE For All Team Members

All of our front office team members are wearing masks for their safety. We’ve also invested in lots of PPE for our dental team including N95 masks, glasses, face shields, gowns, caps, shoe coverings, and more.

All PPE is properly disposed of or stored for reprocessing after your procedure, ensuring we minimize the risk of cross-contamination at Monarch Dental Arts.

Updated Infection Control Training

All of our team members have been trained on the latest infection control practices recommended by organizations like OSHA and the CDC. We’re washing our hands regularly, maintaining good respiratory hygiene, and taking many other behind-the-scenes steps to ensure your safety.

Additional Cleaning & Disinfection Of Common Areas

Our team is wiping down and cleaning common areas and frequently-touched surfaces like bathrooms, waiting areas, tables, chairs, countertops, and other such areas with EPA-approved disinfectant to eliminate any bacteria or viruses and provide a safe, sanitary experience for our patients.
