Some types of whitening toothpaste like charcoal toothpaste can damage your teeth. If you want to use whitening toothpaste to keep your smile bright, stick to ADA-approved products!
To begin your treatment, Dr. Anna will meet with you to discuss your options for cosmetic treatment. Teeth whitening is a great option, but it’s always good to discuss all of your options for achieving your smile goals.
Once you’re approved for KöR take-home teeth whitening, Dr. Anna will take a scan of your teeth using our digital handheld scanner. We will use this scan to build a set of custom whitening trays, which will fit over your teeth perfectly.
Your whitening trays will usually be available in a couple of weeks. You’ll come back to pick up your trays, as well as your KöR teeth whitening products. Dr. Anna will give you all of the instructions you need to whiten your teeth.
Depending on the KöR whitening program recommended for you, you’ll wear your trays either during the day, or overnight while you sleep. Follow Dr. Anna’s instructions, and your smile will be visibly brighter in no time, with maximum results in 2-3 weeks.

We typically recommend either KöR-Day™ or KöR-Night™ take-home whitening solutions for our patients. Daytime treatments are ideal for sensitive teeth, since you don’t have to wear them for as long, while nighttime treatments allow you to whiten your teeth while you sleep. Either way, you’ll get great results within two weeks.
Most patients can brighten their smile with take-home whitening. But in cases of severe staining, we may also recommend combining KöR in-office treatment with take-home whitening. This is a great way to treat deep stains and enhance your smile.
For most patients, teeth whitening results last for about 1-2 years. Over time, it’s possible for stains to build up on your teeth and discolor them, even after teeth whitening treatment. Proper oral hygiene, a healthy diet, quitting smoking, and coming to Monarch Dental Arts can help prolong your treatment.
Touch-ups are easy with our KöR take-home whitening treatments, too. Your custom whitening trays are reusable, so if your smile starts to look dull, you can get a touch-up treatment from Dr. Anna, and make sure your pearly whites look picture-perfect.
